Dear Parents,
You are your child's first teacher, and we will work together this year to help your child learn and grow. I believe that every child has talents and abilities and it is my job to help each child achieve and enjoy in the classroom. We are truly partners in this endeavor!
You can help your child in many ways. READ with your child every evening. Play counting games. The more experience your child has with reading, letters, and numbers, the easier the transition to kindergarten will be.
I will be sending “homework” with your child on a regular basis, so that you can help reinforce the daily lessons. Besides reading, writing, and mathematics, our class will also be learning geography, including New Mexico, the United States and the entire world.
If you have a suggestion for me, I am open and eager to hear from you. Please know that you are welcome in our classroom and that I am excited to be teaching at Salam Academy.
